5. COSmetropolis - DIVISION & DISMEMBERMENT

​

'Humans,' 'Machine-Bots' and 'Computer Inhabitant Simulants' - form the "3 Races of COSmetropolis."  

​

The act of "Division and Dismemberment," occurred during The Peace" - which followed the collapse of "The Triumvirate" ('Human' - 'Oligarchs,' 'Technocrats' and 'Bankers.')

 

"The Peace" - that mutual understanding, was reached between 'Humans' and 'Machine-Bots' and it was this 'peace,' that detailed a settlement between the 'Humans' and the 'Machine-Bots.'  

 

There were various technical Committees that considered all aspects of COSmetropolis life, its politics, its inter-community relations - (relations between 'Humans' and the 'Machine-Bots') its cultures, which were varied and which reflected the varied nature of COSmetropolis' inhabitants.   Also considered, were COSmetropolis' ancient Laws and its Geography.

These Committees on each of these various subject matters, deliberated, some for many years.  There was a public aspect to their deliberations and both 'Humans' and 'Machine-Bots' were able to to contribute, either by way of submission of documents to a Committee or Plenary Session concerned with a particular subject matter - or in the rare occasion, appearing in person, before the "Supreme Bio-Organic Cyborg-Synthetic Authority" - the "Central Integrated Network Information Command" (CINIC).

Of course, as could be expected, these deliberations were highly influenced by outside forces. 

 

It has been famously said that - "No man is an island, entire of itself..." (John Donne) - and COSmetropolis although a sizeable - medium sized "Nation City State," was vulnerable to the 'Conglomoramatons.'

 

These were Planet Earths's 'regional powers' - with each 'Conglomoramaton' dominating a Continent, to which it had been assigned.  Their rule within that continental space was Absolute.  

 

The 'Conglomoramatons'  were on the face of it, a combination of old style 'TransGeo-Political' - "territorial actors" - relics of old Empire, mega-corporations, which had formed alongside these Empires.  There were also the Cyber Space entities and communities - this was the "Simulant community" - those who had opted for a 'computer simulated existence' in Cyber Space - but who were represented through a Council on Planet Earth. 

 

The 'Conglomoramatons,' being the most powerful single entity and being given legitimate authority, dominated "Nation City States," such as COSmetropolis, whom they regarded as 'subjects' or 'clients.'

So it could not be expected that much would come from these various Committees and Plenary Sessions - those 'Humans,' 'Machine-Bots' and 'Simulatnts,' who laboured to seek a solution, following the collapse of "The Triumvirate."  As you can guess, the ruling COSmetropolis 'Conglomoramatons'  - (***DETAILS CLASSIFIED***) - of which COSmetropolis was merely a client, stepped in - its solution was direct, some would say ruthless.

In one of its "CINIC - Conglomoramatons Decisions" - Which stated bluntly - 

​

"The Nation State of COSmetropolis shall be divided into 2 jurisdictional areas.

 

(1) A Human controlled area. 

 

(2) A Machine controlled area. 

​

This area shall be known as the Jurisdictional Zonal Control Region.

​

Those individuals who are of a 'synthetic' nature - namely those who are 'Bio-Organic Cyborgs,' in relation to the above, may choose by which jurisdiction, they are subjected to.

 

Regarding the above Regional Division - as a general rule, 'Humans' shall have jurisdictional control over the "wild and forest areas"  (defined by Conglomoramatons - Decisions - Jurisdictional Rules - 857-328.)

 

The 'Machine-Bots' shall have jurisdictional control over 'urban areas'  (defined by Congloronamatons - Decisions - Jurisdictional Rules - 824-509.)

 

CINIC Decision - Conglomoramatons - Decisions - Jurisdictional Rules - 823-612."

This decision in effect made Human habitation restricted in principle to the 'wilds' as these areas were known, with the Machine-Bots in charge of the urban centres, known as the CINIC Urban Development Regions. 

​

The Simulants - those Inhabitants of a digital virtual world in computerised Cyber Space - "occupied a 3rd region on Planet Earth."

​

This 3rd region was all geographical territory on Planet Earth, that had become uninhabitable.  These were the vast regions of Planet Earth, which had as a consequence of continual warfare, become exposed as a consequence of war between "Nation City States" to both radioactive and bio-chemical materials. 

 

No inhabitants of Planet Earth, could reside in these regions.  The Machine Bots certainly the most advanced had develpped sentience and many could not survive comfortably in toxic regions.  In any event they would regard it as degrading having to live in regions rejected by Humans. 

​

Therefore, these regions were assigned to The Simulants.  It had been found that in order for the Simulants within their computerised Cyber Space worlds/ dimensions to exist, they had to be "rooted" in a physical dimension of some sort, just prior to the singularity a treaty was signed between CINIC and Artiifical Intelligence Representatives of the former human - now computerised, Cyber Space Inhabitants - to allocate these wastelands as the treaty referred to them to the Simulants.  This enabled for there to be an interdimensional interface between Planet Earth and the virtual reality simulants.

The Simulants regions were managed for them, held on a perpetual trust, by a specifically allocated 'Simulant Conglomoramatons.'
